Please find below details for all this week’s club activities. Saturday rides are to Green Dragon Eco Centre.
In addition to the normal weekend social rides there is a 50/50 ride on Thursday evening, the first of this year’s endurance rides on Sunday and the non-stop/training rides on Saturday and Sunday. There is no coaching this weekend as it is half-term.
We currently need leaders for the all rides on Saturday and Sunday so please leave a comment below, contact me via Facebook or email me at rides@bmcc2000.com if you can lead a ride.
Please also remember that if there are rides without leaders on Thursday evening they will be removed from the calendar (See the forum thread here: http://goo.gl/7mg9fY for more details).
NOTE: Mudguards are now mandatory on all club social rides (50/50 excluded obviously) until 1st March 2017. This is for the protection of other riders in the group. Please ensure that your mudguards are long enough (including mudguard flap) to prevent spray being thrown up behind you.
Make sure you are covered
Participation in Bicester Millennium club rides and events is strictly at your own risk and liability. You are strongly advised to obtain 3rd Party Liability Insurance. You can do this easily by taking out membership of either British Cycling or CTC. Both of these provide the required Insurance AND they support cycling throughout Britain. Also please make yourself aware of the BMCC Club rides protocol. These can be found along with many other useful bits of information on the following link – https://www.bmcc2000.com/bmcc-all-rides/bmcc-club-ride-protocol/

50/50 (off/on road rides)
Meeting point: Eco Dragon Farm Centre Car Park MK18 3LA
Meeting time: 7:15 PM
Notes
MTB better for less experienced riders, moderate climbing with, one big climb. Some of the going is fairly strenuous climbing on grass etc. The climb up to the Quainton Hill Mast is fairly long and difficult on grass and steep near the top going through badger sets, you may need to push this 50yds or so. Going is wet in winter at the bottom before the start of this climb and onto the lower section for ¼ mile or so.
Technical Level (1-5): 2
