Bicester Millennium Cycling Club respects your privacy.
Any personal information you provide to us including and similar to your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address will not be released, sold, or rented to any entities or individuals outside of Bicester Millennium Cycle Club.
What information we collect for communications
The only data we collect for you for communications are your name, email address and communications preferences. This information is collected using the Mailchimp mailing system and is stored securely on their servers. View Mailchimp’s Privacy Policy.
BMCC access to the Mailchimp system is highly restricted limited to only those people in the club who need access to the system to send out communications.
Credit card details
BMCC will never ask for Credit Card details and request that you do not enter it on any of the forms on the BMCC website.
Membership processing through British Cycling
When you become a member of or renew your membership with Bicester Millennium Cycling Club you will be registered for an online account with British Cycling. We will provide British Cycling with your personal data which they will use to enable access to an online portal for you (called My Dashboard) on the British Cycling website. British Cycling will use your personal data in accordance with its Privacy Notice which can be accessed at https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/staticcontent/info–Privacy-Policy-0. British Cycling will contact you to invite you to sign into and update your dashboard (which, amongst other things, allows you to set and amend your privacy settings). If you have any questions about the continuing privacy of your personal data when it is shared with British Cycling, please contact compliance@britishcycling.org.uk.
Social Media and the BMCC website
As a club member your information may be shared on the club website, social media pages or in emails sent by the club. This data will only be shared in the event that either you are a club volunteer, have participated in a race or challenge event or have recorded a major achievement. This data will be limited to your name, race results (if applicable) and details of your achievement. Limited further information about you may be included; for example, whether you have participated in a juniors’ race or a womens race.
You retain the right at all times to have any information published in this way removed.
External Sites.
BMCC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites. You are advised to read the privacy policy of external sites before disclosing any personal information.
Cookies
A “cookie” is a small data text file that is placed in your browser and allows BMCC to recognize you each time you visit this site (customisation etc). Cookies themselves do not contain any personal information, and BMCC does not use cookies to collect personal information. Cookies may also be used by 3rd party content providers such as newsfeeds.
You can turn off the use of cookies at any-time by changing your specific browser settings.

While we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information that you transmit to BMCC and you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of any passwords or other account information. In addition other Internet sites or services that may be accessible through BMCC have separate data and privacy practices independent of us, and therefore we disclaim any responsibility or liability for their policies or actions.
